Of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 under the kind and compassionate care of the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home at the age of 76. He will be remembered by his two daughters, Pam (Bryant) Reynolds and Toni (Christopher) Coppernoll; three grandchildren, Trevor and Catherine Reynolds and Jacob Coppernoll; brother, Rich Ramsey; sister, Greta Tigner as well as nieces, nephews, family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Ramsey; sister-in-law, Lynn Ramsey and brother-in-law, Bruce Tigner. Tom was born in Midland, Michigan on October 20, 1947 to Roy and Ruth Ramsey. After graduating from Coleman High School in 1966 he enlisted in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge he returned to Michigan and attended Ferris State University where he received an associate’s degree in Diesel Engineering. Tom spent his career as a diesel mechanic and retired from Napoleon Schools after over 20 years of service. He was a tractor enthusiast and Lifetime Member of the Jackson Area Antique Tractor Club. He was proud of his Military Heritage and enjoyed his time as a member of the American Legion Post 315 in Brooklyn, Michigan. He would be found in the bleachers at many, if not all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a hardworking family man and will be greatly missed. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. and again on Monday one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Alma, Michigan.
