Ronald Belcher

Went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2017, at the age of 69, while under the kind and compassionate care of the staff at Stoneleigh Residence, Lansing. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Belcher; wife, Martha Belcher; son, Ronald Glynn-Belcher; daughter, Sellera Croom; twin brother, Donald; and brother, Melvin Belcher; also special cousin, Shirley Little. Ronald leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Minnie Lee (Harris) Belcher; nine children: Marcus Glynn-Belcher, Quinita Glynn-Belcher, Jessica Glynn-Belcher, Nichelle Johnson (Belcher), Rhonda (Ulysses) Johnson-Williams (Belcher), Sandra Croom, Charlotte Glynn, Kelly Glynn, and Carla Jones; twenty-four grandchildren; six siblings: Thomas (Ardline) Harris, Jerome (Beverly) Belcher, Carolyn Armstrong, Betty Rajabian, Anette Belcher; Olivia Belcher and Letha (James) Summerour, and as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a faithful servant to the Lord; loving family member and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Belcher was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Calvin and Minnie Lee (Harris) Belcher on April 1, 1947, and was raised in Jackson, Michigan then relocated to Lansing with his family in 1983. Mr. Belcher was a United States Army Veteran and retired as a Barber. He attended New Life Church of God in Christ. His Home going Celebration will be held at the Reachout Christian Center Church (5682 Wise Road, Lansing, Michigan 48911) with Pastor Rick Smith, Sr. officiating, on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Family hour to begin at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday at Chas. J Burden & Son Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, Michigan 49202) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Belcher will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Stoneleigh Residence, 3186 Pine Tree Road, Lansing, MI.
