Patricia Grace DuBois

Of Jackson, age 89, passed away peacefully February 21, 2017 at Highland Assisted Living and Memory Care surrounded by her family. She was born March 17, 1927 in Ada, MI, the daughter of Everett Garry and Grace Ellen Van Riper. She graduated from Dexter Union High School and Jackson Community College with a nursing degree. She retired from nursing with over 25 years of service at Mercy Hospital of Jackson and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond Eugene (Jake) DuBois who preceded her in death on March 8, 2016. These 12 years of marriage were perhaps the happiest of her life. They enjoyed spending times with friends and family and many activities at the Jackson Crouch Senior Center. Pat was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. She is survived by four of her five daughters, Sandra Ellen Smith of Jackson, Karon Sue Dinius of Manitou Beach, Victoria Lynn Tuttle of Dimondale and Beth Ann Smith of Jackson; Kathryn Jean Smith preceded her in death. Her surviving siblings are Mary Van Riper Twitchell and Nancy Van Riper Kiel. Pat leaves nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints, 3019 W. Morrell St. Jackson. Visitation starts at 2:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 P.M. A private internment for family members will be scheduled for a later date.
