Harold A. Sherrard

Went to be with the Lord on Thursday December 14, 2017. He was the son of Elwood E. Sherrard (Deceased) and Rosella Sherrard. Harold was born in 1959 in Kittery Maine. He is survived by his children; Bradley Sherrard, Tamera (Tim) Gallucci, two grandchildren; Hailey and Raelynn Gallucci, sisters; Debbie Bendele and Fran (Charles) Carpp, and several nieces and nephews. Harold graduated from Springport High School and went directly into the United States Air Force where he served for 6 years and was honorably discharged. He then joined the Illinois Air National Guard, where he served his country proudly and was part of 182nd Airborne division that served in Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm. He retired in 2008 after 25 years of service. After retirement from the service, he returned to Michigan where he went back to school and obtained his CDL license and became a truck driver. Harold loved his family and knew his Lord and Savior. He was happiest when he was outdoors walking in the woods, fishing or hunting. Some of his hobbies included computer networking, music, videos, gun and knife collecting, attending auctions of various kinds and shopping for treasures. A celebration of Harold’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone Christian Church (2395 W. High Street) with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
