Of Jackson, MI passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 98. Genevieve was born on October 14, 1922 in High Splint, KY to parents Bradley and Minnie (Hodge) Clem. She married John King in Detroit, MI on March 15, 1960. Genevieve was self-employed, working in retail. She led a Christian-based way of life and was generous and kind, helping those in need. She grew up in the coal mine camps and had interesting stories because of it. She always gave great advice and was full of knowledge and wisdom. Genevieve is survived by her son, John King; grandchildren Kari, Tracy, and Rodney Middleton; and many great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John King; her parents; children Dennis, Linda, Sandra and Curtis Middleton; three grandchildren; and all 7 of her siblings. Cremation has been chosen with no public service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Ketchen Cemetery in Bryants Store, KY.
