Of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at the age of 76. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Mary Kay Pauley; son Derek Pauley; grandchildren Madison and Peyton, step-son Richard Poncia, grandchildren Megan and Bailey. Siblings, Patty (Jim) Tolonen, Jimmy Pauley and Beverly (Roy) Thumme as well as numerous loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Hillard and Jean Pauley, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rick. After graduating from South Lake high school, he served in the United States Army during Vietnam, after his honorable discharge he returned to Michigan and attended Wayne State University where he obtained a teaching degree. After several years teaching he continued to work in sales until retiring in 2013 . He was a talented athlete and an avid golfer. According to his wishes cremation has been selected and no services are scheduled.
