Dennis McCann

Dennis Carl McCann age 83 of Jackson passed away peacefully in his home under the loving care of his family on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was born December 28, 1941 in Jackson the son of Jack and Martha (Schuster) McCann and they preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by sister, Jackie Savage, brother, Brian McCann and great-granddaughter, Casey Kuhn.

On June 23, 1962, Dennis was united in marriage to Janice “Jan” (Bailey) in Michigan Center and she survives.

Dennis was a hard-worker was employed as a foreman with Melling Tool for 33 years until his retirement.

Dennis loved to play music and sing. He was quite an accomplished guitar player, making a couple records in his lifetime and playing with many musicians over the years. He also loved sports cars, was an avid sports fan, especially a Lions fan and was a jewelry maker for some time as well. Most of all though, Dennis loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife of almost 63 years, Jan McCann, Dennis also leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Mike (Kelly) McCann of Jackson, two grandchildren. Chris McCann of Jackson, Brittany (Robert) Kuhn of Onsted, four great-grandchildren: Gavin Baugh, Jase Kuhn, Bailey McCann and Addyson McCann, brother, Roger (Sally) McCann and sister, Kathy (Gordy) Welch.

According to Dennis’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
