Danne Lynn Jerrell

Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the age of 69. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Jerrell; daughter, Tracy (Javed) Jerrell-Akhtar; granddaughter, Alina Akhtar; brother, Terry Jerrell and sisters, Cindi Gale and Patty Jerrell; as well as several nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Donnie Jerrell. Danne was born in Jackson on August 26, 1947 to Raymond and Phyllis (Peterson) Jerrell. He attended East Jackson Schools; he proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was decorated for his honorable service. He returned to Jackson and retired from ALRO Steel after over 30 years of dedicated service. He was a lifelong member of NRA, an avid hunter, and was a member of the Jackson County Outdoor Club and was awarded numerous shooting awards. Danne was a loving family man and proud grandfather. He touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed. A service celebrating his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Military Honors.
