COLUMBIA - William “Bill” Lundy, 91, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. and the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church. Mr. Lundy was born December 12, 1925 in Michigan City, IN and grew up in Appleton, WI. He was a graduate of Lawrence University, class of 1948. He loved journalism and music. A talented tenor he sang with numerous choral groups in the Columbia area. He was most proud of his performance at Carnegie Hall in NYC with Our Lady of the Hills Folk Group. Bill had a deep love for NYC, traveling there several times a year to enjoy shows on Broadway, fine dining and jazz clubs. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary. Survivors include his sons, Kevin Lundy (Julie) and Terry Lundy (Tammy), and brother, Larry Lundy of Madison, WI.
