Louise was born January 9, 1934 in Irmo, SC. She graduated from Columbia High School class of 1951 and attended Draughn’s Business College. She worked as a secretary for SCE&G prior to her marriage in 1958 to George F. Leitzsey. George retired in 1974 as a major in the US Air Force. The first few years of their marriage were spent in Texas, Mississippi, Italy and England. Later they lived in Colorado and Virginia. After George’s death in 1974, Louise moved back to SC to be near her remaining family.
Louise is survived by daughters, Cheryl Kasprzyk (Dave) of Columbia, Linda Carney (Chris) of Irmo; grandsons, Stephen Kasprzyk (Sarah) of Easley, Kevin Kasprzyk (Lyndsey) of Columbia, Sean Carney of Irmo, Nicholas Carney of Irmo; granddaughters, Krysten Kasprzyk of Little Rock, Arkansas and Kayla Kasprzyk of Columbia; and 6 great grandsons, Ethan, Finley, Cedric, James, Elijah and Everett. Also surviving are her sister, Dorothy Lambert of Myrtle Beach and her brother, Robert F. Lorick (Emily) of West Columbia and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George, her parents, and a great grandson, Logan David Kasprzyk.

Louise’s celebration of life will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 2 pm, with visitation beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow the service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, will be in charge of services.
