Theresa Eileen Higgins

Service for Theresa Eileen Higgins, 34, of Irmo will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Theresa passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Born June 18, 1980 in Bristol, PA, she was the daughter of George A. Higgins and Eileen T. Higgins. She was a member of Gracepoint Church, Western Road, Irmo and was a volunteer with the Oliver Gospel Mission. She belonged to the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra where she played the violin and also several local women’s groups here in Columbia. She enjoyed snowboarding, swimming and other outdoor activities.

Theresa was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Journalism Degree in Communications and a Minor in Women’s Studies. She was Broker in Charge and co-owner of Salty Fin Realty, LLC with her business partner, Stacey Agran.

Theresa is survived by her parents, George and Eileen; brother, Christopher G. Higgins; and her beloved cat, Cobbs. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
