Mr. Samuel Glenn Davis

COLUMBIA- Funeral service for Samuel Glenn Davis, 75, will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Union United Methodist Church. There will be a Celebration of Life Reception following the service in the fellowship hall. The burial will follow the reception in the church cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family.

Mr. Davis passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Born on August 11, 1939 in Gadsden, Alabama, he was a son of the late Troy Louie Davis and Mamie Lucille Archer Davis. He was a graduate of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. After college he served in the United States Army as a finance officer.

Mr. Davis was a member of Union United Methodist Church where he served as Head of the Board of Directors. He was a member of the John Rowland Sunday School Class.

Glenn Davis worked in Petroleum sales for more than 45 years and was an avid Alabama fan.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Rast Davis; his children, Kathy Carter (Blake), Steve Davis (Samantha), Tad Wilson (Sharon), Sharon Jacobs (Mike), Lisa Page (Jim); grandchildren, Collin, Caroline, Addyson, Bronson, Madalyn, Stefani, Gabrielle, Rhett, and Jacqueline; brother, Ken Davis (Ina); nephews, Michael and Jeff Davis.
