Bob passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Robert Marion Smith, Sr. and Eva Kate Farish Smith. He was a former member of Morningside Baptist Church, Spartanburg. Bob retired in 2012 as Sr. M&C Service Specialist, Columbia SC with L&N and Honeywell Control Products. Following retirement, he loved going to Flea Markets on Wednesdays and on Tuesdays he was known to take road trips throughout the state. Bob enjoyed BBQ and would “taste test” BBQ throughout North and South Carolina. Most importantly, Bob loved spending time with his granddaughter, Eva Kate. He was an avid collector of anything with batteries or a plug and loved Muscle Cars and Classic Cars.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Carol Willis Smith; daughter, Robyn Smith Douglas (Michael); granddaughter, Eva Kate; sister, Monica Lucas (Paul); and brother, Charlie Smith (Jeanette).
