Blair passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018. Born in Columbia, he was a son of William and JoAnne Wilson. He was the loving and devoted husband of 33 years to Malissa “Lisa” Kinard Wilson. Blair, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Big Money”, had a love of golf. His father taught him the game at an early age and he played for Spartanburg Methodist where he attended college. He continued to play golf every chance he could and had won several tournaments at Mid-Carolina, most recently with his son-in-law, Chris at the “Member Member” Tournament. Blair was a kind, compassionate, and caring son and brother, a loving father, and beloved “Grandpillow.” He was looking forward to the wedding of his youngest daughter, Ashlee and the birth of his second grandchild.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his daughters, Malissa Wilson Etheredge and husband, Chris, Ashlee Wilson and fiancé, Dylan Bruemmer; granddaughter, Clara Lee Etheredge; brothers, Randy Wilson (Carol), Lane Wilson (Patricia), and Dan Wilson. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Derrall and Harriet Kinard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Blair's honor may be made to the SC Junior Golf Association or to a charity of one's choice.
