Yolanda, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Melanie.  I have such delightful memories of her as a student, colleague, and friend.  What a kind, caring soul who brought, joy, laughter, and light to so many.  I am so blessed that our paths crossed.  

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of such a wonderful teacher/mentor and all around wonderful person. I was a student in her class in 1976.  What an awesome teacher who poured into my life.  Praying for the family as they celebrate her wonderful life.

Melanie was the best teacher I ever had. I think it’s fair to say that she helped shape the person I am today, and I’m a better person because of her. I was so sorry to hear of her passing.

Rest peacefully Mel, you well deserve it. You were loved by many and will be missed.

To the Webb family,    my parents were good friends with Buddy and Lillian. My brother Billy took Renee to one of their proms, we all sang in the choir together at Ascension Lutheran Church in Eau Claire and we all went to school together. We were blessed to live in a neighborhood where neighbors were good friends and socialized  together. My favorite memories of Melanie, however, was playing fast pitch softball together on the city league every summer.  Melanie was a great center fielder. I think we all lived for each season to begin.   What wonderful times we had together. It saddens me greatly to hear of Melanie's death.  She was funny and so much fun to be around. I had the privilege of making acquaintance with her in recent years.  My condolences to Yolanda.

Dear Yolanda, I am so sorry to hear about Melanie's passing. She was such an amazing caring person, such a deep heart. I loved the times I got to work or talk with her. And her sense of humor just made everything better. You will be in my thoughts.

I’ll always remember her smile and her likeness and resemblance to that  of her father. She was just a pleasure to be around. Always found the best in people. We lost a special person in Melanie.

Paul, Dennis, and the extended family: I always loved Melanie. The Webb family was one of the first we got to know when we moved to Columbia College Dr.. I babysat Dennis when he was very little and I know too young to remember me.  Melanie, along with Diane Carmichael, taught me their first year at Eau Claire and the hardest thing I remember about that was calling her Mrs. Graber instead of Melanie. Take comfort in knowing there are many of us who feel the same. Let God be your constant companion in these days ahead. Much love always, Carla Harman.

Every memory I have of time spent with Melanie brings a smile.  Shaking up the serenity of Forest Acres riding around with Melanie, Yolanda and my wife in my convertible playing “Born To Be Wild” on the cassette player (which clearly dates this event!), donning rumpled trash bags and dark glasses to dance as The Richland One Raisins to “Heard it Through The Grapevine” at the Brightside Wellness Conference, and many inside jokes that only people with a slightly twisted sense of humor appreciated.  Melanie was a joy to be around and will be missed.  Deepest sympathy to Yolanda, Dennis and the rest of the family.

Melanie will be greatly missed.  Although I had not seen her for several years,  it was comforting to think she was there and would be ready to respond if I reached out.  Prayers for the family and my sincere sympathy to Yolanda.  I care for you both a lot.

If it weren't for you, Melanie, there would be no George and Trish Plunkett's 55 wedding anniversary in a few days.  If it weren't for you, Melanie, there would be no Jay Plunkett.  You have shaped our lives and created our family.  There are no words to  adequately  convey our debt and love for you.  The world will never be the same without you.

One of a kind and one of the best.  So many great memories of our times together in the class of 1964  at Eau Claire High School.  My deepest sympathy and love to Yolanda and all the others in Melanie's family.  

A life well lived! Surely she is basking in her rewards while watching over those she treasured most. She left this world a better place 10fold. That huge smile and ever present sarcastic wit will live on through many stories and warm memories. What a way she had! Speak her name and watch for her in the butterflies! Love loud, laugh loud and  find peace. Thats what she’d want!
