COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Lois Mills Winesett, 75, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 in Arlington Park Memorial Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. Winesett died Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Born in Covel, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Albert Lee and Garnet Frances McKinney Mills. A graduate of Herndon High School, she worked most of her adult life as an insurance adjuster and later as a secretary at Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of the University Blvd. Church of the Nazarene in Jacksonville and was very active in the church and Sunday School. She was especially fond of making porcelain dolls which she would often give away to children or donate to the church to raise funds for mission events. She also loved to travel the world as she did often with her husband over the past 25 years. Surviving are her children, David “Craig” Winesett (Lisa) of Chapin, S.C., Lorri Winesett Anderson (Andy) of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Kayla Adkins (Glen), Kelsey Crum (Adam), Sydney and Carter; brothers, Artis Mills, Kenneth Mills (Debbie) and Carlos Mills. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Howard D. Winesett. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to thank the caregivers at the Atrium, Harborchase and Lighthouse Hospice.
