Services for Larry Richards, 79, will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, in Irmo. Interment will be at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 3:00 pm with military honors. Memorials may be made to any military veteran’s organization of your choice.
Larry passed away peacefully, under hospice care, at his home on Tuesday, October 15. Born in Danville, IL, he was the son of the late George Richards and Thelma Morris Richards. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where he enjoyed being active in RCIA missions. He was retired after 43 years from TeePak. Larry was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a32nd degree Mason and a member of various veteran organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sizemore Richards, sons, Jason Mills and Jeremy Mills, and two grandsons of Newberry; and two daughters, a grandson, and granddaughter of North Carolina. Also surviving are Judi Burman (Bob) of Columbia and Beverly Rohrer of Bloomington, IN. He was predeceased by five sisters and one brother.
