Memorial Service for John L. Kennedy, 73, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, Lexington. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family. John passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Lamar Kennedy and Eloise McLaurin Kennedy. He was the husband of the late Claudia Kennedy. John worked in trucking transportation throughout his life, completing his career in transportation brokerage. John enjoyed tennis and loved boating on Lake Murray. Most importantly, he was a father who loved his daughters, and began coaching his girls and their friends in softball for many years. Surviving are his daughters, Ellen Lloyd (David), Nancy Revels (Paul), Dee Dee Constante` (Ramon); grandchildren, Corey Revels (Kathryn), Bear Revels, Cassey Lloyd, Joanna Lloyd, Jazmine Constante`.
