Chris Carey

Chris Carey, 52, of Columbia, SC died on July 6, 2022. He was the very proud father of two children, Justin and Megan Elizabeth Carey, and loving stepfather to Kenzie Keisler. Chris spent the last 16 years married to the love of his life and best friend, Mechelle. He was loved dearly by his family and friends, and always sought to make the most of every day while also striving to improve the lives of those around him. As an avid traveler, Chris was determined to live each and every experience to the fullest. Chris was a trusted mentor both in his eight years at Safelite as a District Manager and almost 20 years with Best Buy. A devoted and loyal friend to countless in his wide and varied network. He was also a fanatical sports enthusiast, most notably his beloved Gamecocks and Green Bay Packers. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, 7600 Woodrow St., Irmo, SC 29063, on July 16, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1-3 before the service.
