Sandra Jean Koebel

She was preceded in homegoing by her husband of 65 years, Raymond, just one month prior.

She is survived by her loving sons, Danny (Karen) Koebel, and David (Jackie) Koebel; her grandchildren, Rachel (Jordan) Scanlan, Justin (Angel) Koebel; Rebekah (Cody) Fithian, Deborah (Chris) Adams; and her 7 great-grandchildren; her brothers Jim (Barbara) Burger, and Jerry (Dee) Burger; and many nieces and nephews who loved her.

Sandra was born in Warren, Ohio and after attending Hubbard High School, married Raymond Koebel. She earned her Master’s Degree and retired after teaching school for nearly 50 years. After moving to Iowa Park, Texas, to be near her children, her last few years were spent in joyful service to her family, community, and friends. Sandra volunteered at the Tom Burnett Library, and Faith Baptist Church’s Clothes Closet mission. Sandra participated in many groups including a Bible Study, book clubs, Alzheimer’s Association, and she hosted a Quilting Club in her home. Sandra had many friends and family scattered across the states whom she loved and who loved her.

Sandra was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park, and a memorial service is planned for April 29 at 11:30am at Faith Baptist. She was previously a member of Highway Tabernacle, Youngstown, Ohio, for 40 years.

Sandra will be greatly missed.
