James Henry Gilmore

James H. "Bud" Gilmore, 86, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, December 4, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Pastor Tim Franks and Norman Hodges officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.

Bud was born December 3, 1930 in Iowa Park, Texas to James Emanuel and Erma Mae (Beauchamp) Gilmore. He married Geraldine Gooselaw on July 2, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Iowa Park. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Bud was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. He loved all kinds of music and was an avid collector of many things, and above all, loved his family dearly.

Bud is preceded by his parents.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Gilmore of Iowa Park; daughter, Jamie Andrews of Iowa Park; granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Andrews of Austin, Texas; brother, Bill Gilmore and wife, Maryanne of Iowa Park; and sister, Veneta Glasgow and husband, Bill of Wichita Falls, Texas; and numerous nephews.
