Francis Lavern "Giggles" Harrington

Francis Lavern “Giggles” (Walters) Harrington, 83, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the funeral home.

Francis was born August 5, 1932 in Purdon, Texas to H.R. and Hazel (Johnston) Walters. She graduated from Iowa Park schools and worked for 40 years as a seamstress for Levi Strauss. She married the love of her life, Billy Joe Harrington, on February 9, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Francis loved skating and square dancing, and also enjoyed spending her time going fishing and football games. She was a loving mom and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 66 years, Billy Joe Harrington; son, David Bruce Harrington and his wife, Rose; daughter, Renea Petty and her husband, Joe Bob; grandchildren, Corky Petty and Becky Miser; and great grandchildren, Emily, Toby, and Mickey Joe Miser and C.J. Petty, all of Iowa Park; and one sister, Helen Ruth Washington of Hurst, Texas.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
