Brian was born in Jacksboro, Texas, on June 22, 1967, to Carlton Wayne and Sharon Lynn Shields Lear. He married the love of his life, Crystal Ann Lewis, at First Baptist Church, Holliday, Texas, on June 25, 1988. They have three children, Tanner Alan, Tate Austin and Donnie Tyce Lear.
Brian loved life and brought joy and laughter to everyone he knew…and even those he didn’t! He dearly loved his family and was seen cheering at many Iowa Park Hawk events. Hunting and fishing were a few of his hobbies. His latest hobby was BBQ cook-offs where he excelled in the fine art of crafting the best meats and won several awards.
Brian was preceded in death by his Father-in-Law, Donnie Lewis.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Crystal Lear; sons, Tanner Lear, Tate and wife, Kelsi Lear with Kaye Isabelle, granddaughter, due in January and Donnie Tyce Lear; Parents, Carlton and Sharon Lear; Sister, Carla Rodgers and husband, David; Mother-in-Law Mickey Lewis; Sister-in-law Cindy Swedberg; Brother-in-Law Brad Lewis; life long friends Ray Sefcik and wife Debbie; Nieces, Tiffany Brandenburg, Cayleigh Couch and husband, Josh, Julianne Bess and husband, Ryan, Megan Seiter and husband, Matt, Kaylen Trejo and husband, Omar; Emily Lewis; Nephews Brad Ezzell and wife, Paige, Konor Swedberg and wife, Leigh, Hayden Lewis along with 14 great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Brian’s life is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 411 S. Wall, Iowa Park, TX, with interment to follow at Lynn Creek Cemetery, 1021 Lynn Creek Road, Jacksboro, TX. Visitation will be Monday, September 9, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Dutton Funeral Home 300 E. Cash, Iowa Park TX.
