Betty Lois (Miles) Hundley, 75, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas. There are no scheduled services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.
Betty was born in Deming, New Mexico on July 17, 1942. She was placed in a foster home and adopted by Edwin and Lois (Gillespie) Miles in 1948. She grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Betty graduated from St. Vincent Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1964. She had worked in all phases of nursing, which included Director of Nurses and Assistant DON in local nursing homes. The very last place she worked which was her most favorite job of her career, was Hospice of Wichita Falls where she touched so many lives that touched her heart.
Betty loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Her greatest desire was that one day all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren would be saved and living for the Lord, and that they all would be baptized in the Name of Jesus and filled with His Spirit, as stated in Acts 2:30-39.
Betty professed the Lord's love, mercy, graciousness, holiness, kindness, guidance and peace to everyone she knew in hopes that they would personally know the Lord as their personal savior - "May His light shine brightly in You." People noticed when she fell in love with Jesus in 1996 and started living for him and no longer for herself.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving relatives include her children, Dwayne and Debbie Hundley, Deena and Grady Collins, Thomas Holt, and Shawnda and Blair Smith; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings include Hazel Dian Mozell, Billie Leonard, Mary Lee and husband Jeffers; Jim Bradshaw, and Marvin Farris.
