We are saddened to announce that our beautiful mother passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
Mom was born on December 19, 1956 to late Louis and Elizabeth (Sampson) Wedge. Mom truly lived life to the fullest and always had something on the go. Whether that was gardening, diamond art or crafting of all sorts. All the hours she spent crafting, she did out of pure love and pleasure. Mom took great pride in everything that she made and was always so proud to tell you who bought it and where in the world it would be sent to.
Mom also loved venturing and spending time at craft markets or the regular shopping trips with her best friend , Mary McNamara. Mom will surely be missed by all she would see out and about. Mom so enjoyed her chats with whoever stopped by for a "quick" visit.
Besides her parents, mom was predeceased by the love of her life, our da, Bernie; siblings, Eric, Johnny, Allan, Gloria and Jimmy.
Mom leaves behind her sisters, Maureen, Delores and brother, Cletus. Also her five children, Chris (Lisa), Devon, AB; John (Natasha), Edmonton, AB; Amanda (Mike), Newtown; Kevin ( Christine), Jasper, AB; Evie (Sam), Hinton, AB; her eight grandchildren, Larz, Evan, Emily, Cailin, Nicholas, Jaimee, Kameron and Lucas; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many friends near and far.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no burial. Service will be held at a later date.
Our family would like to thank all who cared for our beautiful mother. The amazing nurses and doctors of the Palliative care unit in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital.
