Ronald Angus "Ronnie" Gillis

He was a son of the late Teresa (MacDonald) and Angus Gillis. He is survived by his wife Joan (Burton); daughters, Gloria Gillis and Natalie (Adam) Gillis, all of Inverness; the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Mia, Ronnie and Kyle MacDougall.

Ronnie is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Wayne, Inverness, Judy (Lawrence) MacNeil, Sudbury, Glen, Garson, Antigonish, Darlene (David) MacNeil, Mabou, Ellen (Brent) White, Kennetcook, Evangeline Gillis and Elizabeth (Wendall) Rorrison, both of Inverness; and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was predeceased by his sister, Anne (Billy) MacPherson; nephew, Bradley MacNeil; sister-in-law, Florence Burton and parents-in-law, Rose and Arthur Burton.

He will leave a huge hole in all our hearts, including the many friends, old and new, that he met along the way.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9th in Inverness Funeral Home, Inverness from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday, November 10th in Stella Maris Church, Inverness at 11:00 a.m. with Father Joby Moonjely officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.. All Covid 19 restrictions will be followed to the letter. Proof of full vaccination and ID will be required before entry.
