Mary "Marie" MacPhee

MacPhee, Mary “Marie” Age 91, of Inverness, formerly of Port Hood, passed away in Inverary Manor with family by her side on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Born on February 28, 1923 in Rocky Ridge, Port Hood, she was a daughter of the late Angus Peter and Mary Burke Rankin. Marie was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood and was a member of the CWL Port Hood. Her love was the family farm in Colindale surrounded by her most important part of her life, family. Marie is survived by children: Don, Maura, Helen (Andy Frosst), Mary (Robbie Sutherland), Angus, and Gerard; sisters, Christy and Catherine Annie. She is predeceased by her daughter, Rose (1982); husband, John (1982); sisters, Catherine, Margaret, Elizabeth, Bridget, a sister in infancy; brother, Alexander; many nieces and nephews. Marie will be sadly missed by all but never forgotten. Visitation will be held in Port Hood and Area Resting Place on Wednesday, March 19 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 20 at 2 p.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood with Fr. Vincent vanZutphen officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Inverary Manor, Inverness or to St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery Fund, Port Hood.
