Evelyn Ruth Dixon

Dixon (Elkins), Evelyn Ruth - 67, Inverness, passed away peacefully April 14th, 2012, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Winthrop Mass., she was the daughter of the late William & Emma (Snowden) Elkins. She was also predeceased by her husband, Alex; brother, William; in laws, Alexander & Catherine (Timmons) Dixon, Jessy and Clarance Jardine and Angus Murry. She is survived by her brother, Robert (Bobby) Elkins, Billerica, Mass.; sister-in-law, Judy Elkins, Bow, N.H.; Beatrice (Jim) Gillis, Inverness, uncle, Richard (Babe) Snowden, Massachusetts; cousin, Barabra (Ken) Witman, Bridgewater, Mass.;daughters, Ruthy (Greg) Doyle, Wendy Dixon; son, Alex (Michele) Dixon; grandchildren, James, Alexander, Jacinda, Jacqueline, Mariha, Anthony; and many neices & nephews. Visiton to be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Tuesday April 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm in St. Matthews United Church, Inverness with Paster Maggie Plant celebrating, burial to follow in St. Matthew's Corner Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to St. Matthew's Corner Cemetery Fund, Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to a charity of your choice.
