MacIsaac, Angus Edward – age 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 26th, 1932, in Upper South West Mabou, Inverness Co. He was a son of the late Hugh A. and Christena (MacInnis) MacIsaac. Angus worked at home with his brothers, pulp cutting and lumbering up until 1952; from 1952-1954 he worked in the hydro-electric tunnel in Niagara Falls, Ont.; from 1954 - early 1960’s in the mines, Quebec and Sudbury, Ont., and sustained several mine injuries; then worked at home from the mid 1960’s until retirement. He is survived by brothers, Alex, Harold A. (Janet), Hugh (Florence), all of whom reside in Port Hawkesbury; sisters, Florence Thompson, Ottawa, sister-in-law, Bernadette MacIsaac; nieces and nephews, Daniel MacIsaac, Bernard (Clare) MacIsaac, Sam MacIsaac, Marlene (Lorne) MacIsaac, Irene (Darrell) Gillis, Kim (Kevin) Cranton, Brian MacIsaac, Jerry (Heather) MacIsaac, Bruce (Carole) MacIsaac, Mark MacIsaac, Jody Kirby (Stephen), Angus MacIsaac, Patricia MacIsaac, Brenda (Woody) Burnham, Kim Canonito (Frank) Thompson and Roderick MacIsaac. He was predeceased by brothers, Sam, Jerome, Roderick and John. Visitation will be held in Port Hood Resting Place on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m .and Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, Glencoe Mills, with Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Cemetery Fund, Glencoe Mills.
