MacLellan Andrew Lambert- age 84, of Glenville Inverness Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday May 15, 2010, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Glenville on September 17, 1925, he was a son of the late Daniel ( D.D.) and Annie (MacIsaac) MacLellan.
He was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Inverness and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13734, St. Mary’s Parish. He lived and worked in Detroit before returning home to his beloved, Glenville.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Flora Catherine (Rankin) MacLellan; and sister, Mary Agnes (Lloyd) Kennedy; step children, Don (Teresa) MacNeil, Whycocomagh; Bill (Carole) MacNeil, Mabou; Sandra MacNeil, Glenville; Marcella (Gerard)Cameron, Calgary; Eileen (Richard) Ross, Mabou; John Francis (Charlene) MacNeil, Elmsdale; Sharon (John) Frith, Bedford; Marguerite (Leonard) Beaton, Mabou; Raymond (Heather) MacNeil, Halifax; Charlotte (Stanley) Cameron, Mabou; forty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews all of whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by brothers Donald and Murdock; sisters, Katherine and Christine; and his first wife, Theresa (Campbell).
Visitation will be in Inverness Funeral Home on Monday, May 17, 2010 from 7 – 9 pm. and Tuesday in the Vestry of St. Mary’s Church in Mabou from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 19 at 11 am from St. Mary’s Church, Mabou with Fr. Angus Morris officiating, burial to take place in the parish cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery fund, Mabou.
