Thomas William Meier

Thomas William Meier, age 89, of Fishers, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, February 27, 2023. Thomas was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Catherine (Ahern) Meier and Paul Meier. He is also preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Margie Meier. Thomas was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and retired from International Harvester (Navistar) after a 43 year career. He enjoyed golfing (well into his 80's) and rooting for IU basketball and Notre Dame football. Thomas was also a handy craftsman, using his woodworking skills to make all kinds of things. He loved to travel with his family. Thomas was also passionate about his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family and friends will miss him dearly but always remember his famous sense of humor and quick wit. Thomas is survived by his children, Donna Roller (Dave), Vicki Yoder (Tom), Michael Meier (Becky), and Stacey Meier; brother, Paul "Jerry" Meier (Sarah); grandchildren, Leah Russell (Kurt "Thor"), Nicholas Roller, Michael Yoder (Megan), Alex Adkins (Michael), Ryan Yoder (Devin), Lauren Miner (Ben), Ethan Meier, Hayden Meier, and Gavin Meier; great grandchildren, Micah, Maddox, Marcella, Johnny, Blake, Dylan, and Sloane; and companion of 10 years, Mardy Inkrott. Visitation for Thomas will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240, followed by his Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM. Thomas will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana with military honors.
