Randy was born December 13, 1932 to the late Clyde and Lillian Samples of Henderson, Kentucky.
Randy was a 1950 graduate of Poole High School in Poole, Kentucky and joined the Navy until 1955. He later attended the University Of Evansville. He went on to work in management at Firestone before retiring after 30 years. Randy's real passion in life was horse trading/racing which he did up until his passing.
Randy married his high school sweetheart, Joanne, July 18, 1952 whom he shared three children with.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Joanne Samples; his son and daughter-in-law Greg (Tracy) Samples; his daughter and son-in-law Tracy (Mike) Livingston; and his son Jeff Samples; his brother Oral (Laura) Samples, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A public visitation for Randy will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Acton Cemetery: 7900 Acton Road, Acton Indiana 46259.
