Ruth Anne Butler

Ruth Anne Butler, 95, of Indianapolis, departed this life September 22, 2022 at Marquette Manor. She was born October 5, 1926 in Newark, NJ to the late Frank & Anne (Baker) Scully. On January 4, 1947 she married James E. Butler in Newark. Ruth was a charter member of St. Luke Catholic Church and also a longtime member of Highland Golf and Country Club. She enjoyed living at Marquette Manor for the last 10 years and was a dedicated member of their Altar Society. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Butler. She is survived by her loving children, James E. (Jo) Butler, William E. (Mary) Butler and Susan A. Butler; grandchildren, Anne, James, John and Courtney and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 28th at St. Luke Catholic Church and conclude at time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Entombment follows at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
