Robert Lee Rhodes

76, of Danville, Indiana passed away on September 18, 2020. Robert was a huge CUBS fan, loved to fish and loved to play the lottery. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his wife, kids and grandchildren. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran and very proud of working with "Big Red 1". He worked at Reilly Chemical (now Verteilus) for over 50 years. He loved going to work and never retired. He was a supervisor and his co-workers called him "Super Bob". He enjoyed cooking and sitting out on the deck watching the birds, Robert loved the Chicago Cubs and was thrilled when they won the World Series!

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Barbara (Doll) Rhodes, daughters; Charlotte Rhodes -Frazeur and Terri (Randy) Irons, grandchildren; Skyler Rowe, Chandler Rowe, Morgan Frazeur and Taylor Irons, great-grandchildren; Rylan, Jaydin and Ily, brother; David (Sarah) Rhodes, sisters; Marcella Chesrown and Charlotte Doll, along with many nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother; Ruth Rhodes, mother -in-law; Velma Doll, brother-in-law; James Chesrown and niece; Cindy Sears.

Memorial Gathering will be held at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 11:00am - 1:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be immediately following at 1:00pm at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Avon Christian Church, 7236 E. CR.100 S., Avon, Indiana 46123, or your favorite charity.
