Mildred Louise Weimer

Mildred Louise Weimer, age 98, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Mildred was born September 7, 1923 in Indianapolis to Harry and Louise (Schmalz) Gonder. Mildred was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy. Mildred was a long time member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She worked at US Rubber Company for 11 years. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, bingo and sewing. Mildred also enjoyed spending time in Florida. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Karen (Dennis) Thomas; grandchildren, Stacy (Seth Peckinpaugh) Thomas and Marissa (Miles) Mattingly; and great granddaughter, Leila Elyse Mattingly. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert J. Weimer; and her parents, Harry and Louise Gonder. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219, with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the mass. Mildred will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Hospice House, 5255 E. Stop 11 Road, Suite 245, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
