Michael L. Gibson

Michael L. Gibson, 50, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away December 9th of 2017 at his home with his family and friends. Mike was born on August 1st, 1967 to the late Don and Betty Gibson in Burkesville, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa Gibson; son, Chris Gibson (Jessie); daughter, Taylor Decker (Nate); 3 grandchildren, Carson, Jordin, and Colton; brothers, Warren Gibson (Shanon) and Jason Gibson (Sara); sister, Teresa Galvin (Mike); along with 2 nephews and 5 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 4-7:30 pm on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana 46224 for a showing and time of remembrance that will begin at 7:30 pm.

Mike was loved by so many! He was a dedicated family man and longtime operator and superintendent of Atlas Excavating. Mike enjoyed his job and the satisfaction of a job well done. Mike was everyone’s go to guy and he never met a stranger. To know Mike Gibson was to love Mike Gibson. He cherished his Friday night get-togethers with his family and friends at the Gibson Tavern. As the saying goes – only the good die young. He will be truly missed, and as Mike would say – Making Memories!
