Marcus P, a Class act and true friend. We met at Lane College, and crossed the Sands together. I have so many memories of road trips, and just hanging out with him and the fellas. I just learned about his passing, gone too soon! My condolences to his family, may you be blessed the power quick healing and loving memories. 

Marc P., as he was called - The Pawnbroker. We met back in 1992 in Memphis. He'd just cross the sands and was getting "popped" that day. Our connection began with Kappa but ended with Jesus. We have been linked tightly through and through nearly ever since. He was one of the few people that can testify of conversion. He witnessed much of my journey and often had questions. As we doved into the Word of God, he began to transform. His eyes were opened to God's amazing love and grace. I'm truly at peace knowing that our last few years of continuous conversations were about matters of the Lord and righteousness and not earthly temporal issues. Glory to God! Daddy Cliff, Eric, and James, it's painful to say good bye. The Lord's grace is the only healing that can handle this matter of the heart.

God allowed Marcus and I to meet on the campus of Lane College, Fall 1991 in Eddie Pate’s World History class.  By September 24th of that same year, we were officially a couple and let me tell you,  we were inseparable!!!!!  Marcus was my FIRST LOVE.  We did eventually marry  and our ourtship, marriage and rekindled friendship came so many memorable moments; way more good than bad.  I spent a third of my life w/this man.  Marcus was the well-spoken “great debater” and always had a good conversation waiting on you!  Lol 
He had a GOOD and KIND heart and loved helping people.  I’m so glad our relationship was able to make its full circle.  Marcus was a little more than just MY FRIEND.  You just can’t share what we shared and call it that.   
As your family lays you to rest on today, just know my thoughts and prayers are in Indy with James, Eric and Daddy Cliff.  I believe you knew the Lord, so I’m trusting that you’re resting in the arms of Jesus.  Until we meet again….❤️

I met Marcus when he was on the Memphis Police Department.  We worked together in the Entertainment District Unit (EDU) on Beale Street.  Marcus was my big brother and looked out for me.  We would patrol together and have great conversations.  He was loved and will truly be missed by a number of his co-workers.    When he became a father he was so excited. I pray God continue to watch over his daughter.  My condolences and prayers to his daughter, father, uncle and brother.  



Marcus, I will always be grateful to you my brother. When I was sick you would sent my wife a check every week to help her out.  You’ve always showed what it meant to be a true Kappa Man. On to the golden shores my brother. Beta Lambda forever 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

I met Marcus at Lane College and when I think of him so many fond memories come to mind. Always a gentleman, kind, respectful & a good friend. I always thought I would see him again one day and I'm so sorry we didn't have that opportunity. I feel blessed to have known him and will forever treasure the good times. Praying for his family and all his many loved ones who will deeply miss him. Rest in Peace Marcus Parker ❤️

I met Parker while we were going through the police academy. We immediately became good friends. He was a funny noble young man. I appreciate God allowing our lives to cross paths. Many prayers and condolences to the family. He will be missed greatly. God bless you all.

Marcus or «MP» is what I called him. When I entered college, Marcus was an upper class man who loved and helped where help was needed. He was respectful, respected and responsible.  It hurts my heart to know that Marcus has left this earth before I could hug and tell him how much of a blessing g he was as a big brother. I am sending comfort to his family during this difficult time. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal. Praying daily for the family, his beloved fraternity and all of the lives Marcus Parker touched.
