I didn't know Kenny for very many years, but to know him was to love him! He was such an inspiration to me. He seemed to devote his life to others.  He had a huge heart for the Poor and Homeless.  He worked tirelessly to make things better for them.
He had a deep love for his family in California and was so joyful when he spoke of them.  He loved his mother, brothers and father.  He truly loved playing golf with his dad.  
I will miss his smiles and delight in finding a funny tee shirt to tease me.
God bless you Kenny.  You were loved! 

I worked with Ken for the last 6 years at Beggars for the Poor.  He was a truly kind, caring, generous man.  Ken had a passion for the homeless which meant the homeless trusted and respected him.  My Ken Rest In Peace with Our Lord!

Kenny was a wonderful man who was always helping us during Beggars for the Poor and the food pantry.  I had great respect for him and will miss him when we go to help the homeless.  May God bless his soul.

Was a kind and caring person.  He never harmed anyone and would do anything for anyone.  I knew he was a special person when I first met him.  It was a pleasure to know him and he will be missed.  He was a true servant of God.

Worked with Kenny on the dreaded Special Works Annual Reports, but he didn't dread them, he pulled together the stats we needed for the Beggars For The Poor (BFTP) report. 
He had a heart of gold and was proud of the collective efforts of all the BFTP volunteers to witness Christ's love to those without a place to call home.

Deeply saddened by Kenny's passing.  He was a good friend and a tremendous asset to St. Vincent de Paul as a volunteer and former employee.  While Operations Director he provided exceptional help and support to those of us in woodworking/furniture restoration. Three years ago, he was instrumental to bringing our dream of a Christmas Meal for the Homeless to reality and he has supported and participated in the meal every year since.  He was always friendly, supportive and a guy who always got things done. Although he will be sorely missed, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know him and work alongside him.  God bless you, Kenny, and bring peace to your family. 

So saddened to hear of Kenny’s sudden death! What a great, hard working guy! He certainly left his stamp on the Cathedral Soup Kitchen with his demolition skills and rebuilding skills. He dedicated a lot of his life to the Soup Kitchen and Beggars for the Poor. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

Kenny was a terrific guy, a kind and giving person who I always enjoyed being around. I would see him once a month at the St. Jude BFTP service day and he always had a smile and a hug. On a recent service day Kenny jumped in my truck and we drove around so he could show me a few places related to his work. I will remember that day fondly. Gone way too soon but had a great impact on me and I will always remember his giving spirit. RIP Ken.

I knew Kenny from my walks around the neighborhood near 67th St. and Hillside, where, on Friday evenings, he would often be throwing an Aerobie with his best friend, Rick Faude.  They would always throw it to me a few times, and I would throw it back to them, although I was not very good at it.  Kenny seemed like a very kind person.  I will miss seeing him on my walks. 

Sending my condolences to Don, Jeanie and family.  I have been a huge fan of Kenny's for several decades.  He has accomplished a great deal in his short life and has inspired others in ways that he will never know.  The world needed more time with Kenny in it and it is with sorrow that we must say goodbye to him.  

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Schutt family on the loss of Kenny. I still have very fond memories of my time spent with Kenny during middle school and at North Central. I also remember Don teaching our youth group in middle school. Kenny was an incredibly kind and loyal friend. It was inspiring for me to see his service with St. Vincent Depaul. Please know that I am praying for your family during this difficult time.
