Keith Edmond Jennings, 44, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Keith was born in Indianapolis to Brian and Susan (Walsh) Jennings. He grew up on the north side and was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas School, Bishop Chatard High School and then earned his degree in Criminal Justice at Indiana University. Keith was a 22 year veteran of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He was a recipient of the IMPD Medal of Bravery in 2010. As a public servant, he was dedicated to protecting and enriching our community. He was a man of family and faith and always put the needs of others before his own. He cherished every moment of being a father, husband, son and brother to his devoted family. Keith was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police #86. Keith loved his family above all else - helping them gave him joy and purpose. He enjoyed playing fantasy football, watching ND, Pacers and the RedZone. He loved hosting euchre and game nights with friends and family. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Amanda (Kiral) Jennings; beloved son, Jack Jennings; his loving mother, Susan Jennings; grateful siblings, Kelly Jennings, Michelle (Sean) Brady, Matthew (Tracy) Jennings, Kevin (Anna) Jennings and Maureen (Matt) Caruso; dear brother-in-law, Michael (Billy Jo) Kiral; dear sisters-in-law, Ann (Ron) Eich and Amy (April) Rieken; 11 nieces and nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew and a host of old friends and fellow IMPD officers. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Jennings and father-in-law, Robert Kiral. Visitation for Keith will be from 4-8 pm at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary (71st & Keystone) on Tuesday, September 24th. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 25th at St. Matthew Catholic Church (56th & Binford). Interment follows at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Keith’s name to Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Online condolences available at www.feeneyhornakkeystone.com
