Jesse C. Moore Sr., was born in Stacy, Arkansas on February 27, 1927 to Jeanie Young Moore and Robert Moore. He was the third child of 5 children who have preceded him. Jesse grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated from Manassas High School.
Jesse was a proud veteran who received awards for him serving his Country well in the Korean War.
Jesse moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he met his loving wife Dollie, which was a marriage of 72 years. They were truly a beautiful and inseparable Christian couple. Jesse departed this world the same day his beautiful wife Dollie’s funeral service.
Jesse loved working in his garden, especially with his buddies, and sometimes had 3 large gardens on different sides of town. He enjoyed passing out hearty vegetables and grapes from his grapevine to neighbors and friends. Jesse was a music lover, along with singing in the male chorus he would serenade you on his harmonica.
Jesse was a devoted member of the Capitol City Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years, where he was a Deacon.
After over 30 years of employment he retired from General Motors.
Jesse was a great role model and worked hard to provide a christian education for his children.
He leaves to cherish his memory son Jesse C. Moore Jr., daughter Beverly Moore Hinkle, 3 grandchildren; Keisha, Camille and Aaron, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, wonder cousins and close friends.
