Gordon Franklin Howard

Died at the age of 77 on Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 16, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Orson Howard and Beulah Stout Howard. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Belen Howard, his daughter Maria Howard, son David Howard (Michelle) and daughter Linda Howard. He has three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Megan and Luke. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Gordon graduated from Shortridge High School and completed an electrical apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 481. He was a member of IBEW for more than 50 years working for Sanborn Electric and ERMCO.

Gordon served in the Indiana National Guard, 151st Unit, for 8 years. He was a committed volunteer at Second Helpings and had been an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am, Saturday, March 24 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 East 56th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
