Frances Mayes

The daughter of the late Charles Tarver and Sue Simmons was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 6, 1944. Frances was educated in the Indianapolis public school where she later graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1963. Frances accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Frances was united in Holy Matrimony to Phillip Austin Mayes on February 19th, 1966. They enjoyed 56 years of marital happiness and contentment. Frances worked at RCA for 17 years and was a babysitter for 10 years. Frances was a loving wife, who love to hang out with her family. She was loved by so many. Frances’ smile would light the room. Frances decorated the house for all holidays and was passionate about the care she shared for others. Frances leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband Phillip A. Mayes, her two daughters; Evette Marie Mayes, Phyllis Renita Mayes, three grandchildren; Phillip Scott Reynolds, Pierce Devon Latel Wilder, Paris Marie McDaniels, one great grandchild, Phylesia Samone Reynolds, sister friend Barbara Trabue-Hall and a host of other relatives and friends.
