Drew Witchger

Andrew James “Drew” Witchger, 33, of Indianapolis departed this life April 5, 2014. Drew was born June 26, 1980 in Indianapolis to Jim and Cindy (Neil) Witchger. Drew was a 1998 graduate of Cathedral High School. While at Cathedral, he was the punter and kicker on the 1996 State Championship football team. He attended Purdue University where he was a walk on punter on the football team. Drew loved watching competitive sports, especially Notre Dame Football. In his free time, he enjoyed golf and fishing and the outdoors. His life’s first passion was music. Drew was an excellent singer, songwriter and guitarist and keyboard player. He loved creating art and new music with his guitar, keyboard and his many friends. Drew is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Cindy Witchger; sisters, Heather Hall and Grace (Adam) Layton; niece, Alyssa and a host of wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Drew also enjoyed a loving relationship with Jacklyn and her children. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 10th at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, April 9th at the Church, and again on Thursday one hour prior to Mass in the Church narthex. In lieu of flowers, Drew’s family prefers memorial contributions to the Hollis Adams Foundation or to Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
