Donald R Bishop
79 Age, of Indianapolis, passed 09/10/14, he was Born November 9, 1934 to the late Andrew and Bertha (Goodin) Bishop. Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Dealoris. He is survived by a son Daniel (Kathy) McCauley, two Grandchildren, Nicole (Chad) Osborne and Derek (Stacie) McCauley, and two Great-Grandchildren, Caylee Osborne and Carson McCauley. Don retired from the U.S. Postal Service on Nov 20, 1992, with 32 years of service, reaching Manager, Maintenance and Engineering. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on Jan 20, 1955 and served as a Navy Photographer until Jan 19, 1959. Don was a member of the Mystic Circle Masonic Lodge, The Fortville American Legion, The Indianapolis Moose, the Martinsville Noon Lions Club, and the AARFE Association, and was an active member of the Trinity General Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Taylor, one Sister, Eunice Riechle, two brothers, Edward and Richard (Dick) Bishop, and four half brothers, Joe, Bud, Bob and Gene Macy. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Little and Sons Stop Eleven Chapel. Funeral services will be on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Washington Park, East Cemetery.
