Cody was born on October 22, 1996 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His grandparents Dale and Jenny Hendricks raised him along with many family members and close friends. As you see it took a village to make him such a great person that he was.
Cody graduated from Southport High School in 2015. He was employed at Marian Inc. for 4 years in shipping and receiving. Rich Skinner, his boss, was training Cody to take over his management position. Cody looked up to him and highly admired Rich as a boss and great friend.
Cody had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed hanging with his cousin Tylor and the boys. He went to the gym religiously every day, which was his favorite thing. He also played golf and was a sports fan. Especially football, he liked his Colts. The hotter the better on everything he ate. His nickname should have been Hot Pepper.
Most of all Cody was a loving father to his daughter, Piper Jean, she is 3 yrs. old. He was a wonderful father. He would play her favorite princess songs while riding in the car. Always teaching and helping her learn. They would dance together, play ball, and with play-doh which was Pipers favorite. He loved Piper with all his heart.
Cody had a rare medical condition that was life threatening with no cure. He went to Riley Hospital for Children for 18 yrs. and later as an adult to IU Hospital. This was maintained with medication and he lived a very healthy life with some ups and downs along the way that he endured. Jenny and Dale (grandparents) and his sister Destiny were so very proud of him for being so strong. He went through a lot in the beginning.
Cody is survived by his daughter; Piper Jean Lohman, sister; Destiny Lohman, grandparents; Dale (Jenny) Hendricks, John Williams, Debra Wright, Randy and Ruth Lohman, father; Cory Lohman, mother; Wendy Wright, Uncles, Aunts and several cousins and nieces.
