Clifford Lee Hall, 78, embraced eternal peace on Friday, September 29, 2023, enveloped by the warm embrace of his adoring family. A proud native of Madisonville, KY, he was born to the late Lewis and Lizzie Hall.
From a young age, Clifford understood the essence of diligence and developed a deep love for God, by professing his faith in Christ at Oak Grove Baptist Church. He pursued his education at Rosenwald High School and later demonstrated his patriotism by serving his country in the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged with full veteran’s access.
Clifford embarked on a significant chapter of his life in Indianapolis, IN, where he found his life partner in Jeanette Jones Hall. Their enduring love story- a testament to the strength of their marriage, spanning more than 56 years and resulting in a close-knit and affectionate family.
Clifford devoted over three decades of his life to Ford Motor Company, earning numerous awards of merit and dedication, and demonstrating his steadfast commitment until his well-deserved retirement. Despite his many professional and military achievements, he considered his most honorable accomplishment to be his role as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will be treasured for generations to come.
Clifford enjoyed the simple things in life. His heart was content when he was fishing, tending to his garden, crafting beautiful landscapes, or diving into do-it-yourself projects. Many affectionately referred to him as the Mayor of Pasadena Street. He served as the neighborhood watch long before it became a recognized concept, tirelessly ensuring the safety and well-being of those in his community. Clifford took it upon himself to plow the snow during winter months, guaranteeing safe passage for his neighbors. He meticulously maintained order on street parking, particularly in front of his house. Clifford's generosity had no limits; he welcomed neighborhood children to swim in his backyard pool alongside his own grandchildren. Furthermore, his determination to host the city's best fireworks show on July 4th became a cherished tradition. Clifford's acts of kindness and unwavering community dedication left an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Lizzie Hall, sisters Mary McNeal, Ruth Johnson, Laura Bell Mackey, Bertha Hunter, Gracie Pryor, and brother Lewis Hall.
