Catherine Virginia Vance, 95 departed this life on Friday, April 27, 2018. Born on March 25, 1923 in Clarion, PA to the late Harry and Mabel Brooks. She was married on August 21, 1944 to John M. Vance. Catherine graduated from Clarion College and Butler University. She was librarian for Washington Township and Indianapolis Public Schools. Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband John Vance and son, James Vance. She is survived by her daughters; Margaret, Alice, Cathy and Nancy. 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11 a.m., with a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m., at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 3535 W. Kessler Blvd North Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46222.
