Carol Sue received her formal education through the Indianapolis Public School system, attending IPS school #37 and Crispus Attucks High School.
Carol Sue worked at Parsley Supermarket, City-County Building, and later retired from Radisson Hotel, after many years of service.
Carol Sue was a beast on the Roller Skates, and you could find her at Scofield Rink on any Saturday or Sunday.
Carol Sue loved to party and dance (she had the loudest finger snap in the room), and she would often take her nieces, although they weren’t old enough to get into the clubs. She also loved to cook
and loved her family immensely.
Carol Sue was a member of Mount Carmel Church until her health deteriorated.
Carol Sue was raised most of her life on the east side of Indianapolis but particularly loved living in Brightwood. She loved her Brightwood family.
Carol Sue transitioned from labor to reward on July 9, 2024, at 1:15 am. She was preceded in death by her parents; Daughter, Cheryl Ann Ray; Grandchildren; Gregory Jones and Ciara N. Daulton; Sisters, Gladys McDade, Christine Williams, and Mary Guynn; Brothers, David Long, Paul Long, Norman Long,
and George Long.
Carol Sue leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy Sons, James (Angela) Long, Marcus Long Sr, Jerome Ray Jr; Daughters, Mary (Gary) Hatcher and Katrina Ray; Grandchildren, Brittany (Kalin) Kelley, Cherell (Aaron) Singleton, Amber (Tasha) Oliver, Marcus Long Jr, Cayla Daulton, Christopher Daulton, David Martin Jr, Brittany Johnson, and Brianna Johnson; Bonus Children, Linda (Wayne) Morrison, Larry Patton and Jerome (Tannika) Patton; Great grandchildren, Brayden Branson, Brylan Branson, Aliah Oliver, Kalin Kelley Jr, Aaron Singleton Jr, and a host of additional family
members, friends and loved ones
A visitation for Carol will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at God's Grace, 9425 E 30th St, Indianapolis, IN 46229, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
