Brian Dwight Chernish

Brian was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 21, 1980. His parents are Dwight & Ann Chernish. He graduated from North Central High School in 1999; Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering; and University of Indianapolis with an MBA.

He married Nicole Elliott on February 29, 2008, at Broadway United Methodist Church. He worked for Customs & Border Protection for 16 years. He was active in the Indianapolis Gaelic Athletic Association (Indy GAA), playing both hurling and Gaelic football. He coached baseball, softball and volleyball in youth sports in Westfield.

Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents Dr Stanley & Leila Chernish, and Donald & Helen Cox, as well as his niece Taylor Perdue.

He is survived by his wife Nicki, children Declan & Teagan, sister Sarah (Steve) Perdue, his parents Dwight & Ann (Cox) Chernish, plus many more family and friends considered family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Heart and Vascular Hospital Foundation or Indianapolis Gaelic Athletic Association.

A visitation for Brian will be held Friday, December 6, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Broadway United Methodist Church, 609 E 29th St, Indianapolis, IN 46205. A visitation will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 609 E. 29th St., Indianapolis, IN 46205. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:30 PM, 609 E 29th St, Indianapolis, IN 46205. A private burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
