Bernice Brown Evans

Bernice B. Evans was born on September 13th, 1931, in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her early education in Nashville Tennessee Davidson County Public School System. She graduated from Pearl High School in 1949. After high school she attended Tennessee State University graduating with a B.S. degree in Home Economics where she met her husband. She was the middle girl of six sisters and brothers. In October of 1951 she and John L. Evans married and three years later they had a baby girl Lola E. Berry. Bernice is preceded by her parents, Annie J. Waddy Brown and John H. Brown. Also preceded by her siblings, John Brown Jr., William Brown, Quintard Brown, Geraldine B. Holt, Jean B. Davidson and her loving son in law, Dr. Earnest Berry Jr. She is survived by daughter Lola E. Berry. She has three grandsons and their spouses, Earnest and Amari Berry, Jonathan A. Berry and Angela Basham, Dr. William C. E. Berry and Jackie Campi. She has five great-granddaughters, Layla, Brianna, Adriannah, Maya and Ella Berry. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
